"Chicago is a small town" not only is Chicago the 3d most populated city in the country, it's also the only city in the country other than New York that's a real city. You could live there all your life and not meet the same person even once unless you try.
I really fail to understand the issue with going to an Antebellum themed party. Those parties are about dressing up, and participating in SOME southern traditions. Attending one doesn’t make you a racist any more than attending a medieval themed party makes you pro-religious-persecution.

Update for those unaware, Matt and Rachael were friends for a while and then eventually rekindled their love. It seems like they've been happy together and have taken things slow.
