Here's how I see it. Luck determines your ceiling. Hard work determines your floor. Someone who works hard will always have a better worst case scenario than someone who is lazy. Someone who is Lucky will always have a higher ceiling than someone who is unlucky

According to the story the hare won every single race except for that one. And he was clearly mocking the tortoise. Every single race prior = 99 percent. The tortoise race = 1 percent. Luck does not beat hardwork. Hard work is close to certain and can be reproduced. If the hare ran the race again and did not sleep he would win even if the tortoise had the same amount of ''luck''.

The people who go out of their way to praise the present to lecture to live in the present should most definitely look at everything from the perspective of PRESENT and now 😅. Its all LUCK since the day you opened your eyes, whoever you are.

When I was a Kid. I wanted to play videogames, but I knew if I don't do my homework first its bad. So I came home, instantly did my homework. Walked up to my dad and said "Dad I did my homework" In hopes of getting positive reinforcement. My dad replied "Well you only did the homework because you wanted to play games." Needless to say… I didn't do any homework for the rest of my school life.

Tried to kill myself 3 times in the past 2 years. Your story is touching but ultimately doesn't matter. Hard work is a virtue that many don't have. Luck will always beat hard work, but money will always beat luck. Long ago, it was the norm to be a 24 y.o. with a house, wife, 2 kids, car, and dog. Now we have to have 2 jobs to keep up with an expensive world that will only get more expensive. The way that we as humans set each other up for failure, indentured servitude, and a lower pay grade for more work is terrible. Nowadays people with talent are handpicked from a sea of outstretched arms begging to be uprooted from their miserable lives. In my heart, i believe its not about money, in my mind i know it is about money. It always has been. Wealth doesnt want to hang out with poverty, poverty will always look up and wonder why few get to hoard wealth. I used to watch your videos and feel a glimmer of hope that everything will be ok. Everything is not ok, we are all born into this shit world to fix the problems that the people before us made but couldn't fix. It will continue like that until we can't hand it down anymore. If i knew what i had to do to be "happy" in this life; in this world, i would have opted out, hell I've already tried to hang the towel a few times but im too coward to finish it. I firmly believe we are put on this world to suffer, maybe that wasn't intended at first, but the failures, corruption of those before have paved the road to that. And it will go on that way. There are many people in this world that have jobs they shouldnt have. Have money that they don't deserve. Have homes and lives with enough resources to probably feed a starving country. And you are ok with that. You have been all your life, and even if you're not it will continue to be that way. It has always been about money, and it always will be. In this life, the winning move is to not play at all, but even then you still lose. Idk where im getting with this so ill just go

Yes…this whole clip is rhetorical. IF a hare races 99 other hares and finishes 100th…maybe he's unlucky, or, maybe he's an underachieving, pathetic and lazy bastard. Every once in a great while, a tortoise beats a hare, but not unless it is one champion of a tortoise and one worthless hare.
All substantial accomplishments deserve some credit, whether you win the genetic lottery as an athlete who makes it to the pro level in any sport, a genius from extraordinarily intelligent set of parents getting great academic marks, or an artist or musician who has that particular set of talents in their family and makes it to a world class art museum or symphony harmonic.

Too many haters. Sometimes – you just gotta give the golf clap of credit – wherever it is due – and know the world doesn't care about rationalities for mediocrity…no matter how well one may make their case for it.

And then, tortoise worked its way towards the finish line when the hare was not working hard, and won. Great.

Perseverance and action trumps any amount of luck you may have.

What I like to do, when someone tells me they work harder than me or anyone else, is ask them just how hard they have worked. Huh? Well, if you know you have outworked me and other people, you must not only know how hard you have worked but also how hard they have worked, and by the way, exactly how hard CAN a person work? Quantify it for me, if you would ….

Successful people don't become that way overnight. most people see at a glance-wealth, a great career, purpose-is the result of hard work and hustle over time. I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life too 🙏🙏🙏

hare is like nepotism products like jenners and kardashians that they think they are really hard work, they really don’t know that they have anything because of being lucky to be born in famous and celebrity family.

Success is a mixture of luck and perseverance. You can't succeed without a bit of both. No one can deny luck plays a large part in success but If you truly believe success is always luck you cannot be successful.
